Testimonials

“Chesna has been one of my most trusted resources since relocating to Greenville just prior to the pandemic. She brings a lifetime of experience into every therapy session, and I always leave with constructive feedback! One of her unique treatment approaches includes equine therapy, which has helped me to think ‘outside the box’ and tackle life-challenges with new perspectives. I’m grateful for all the ways Chesna has opened my eyes to internal and external stressors deserving attentive and compassionate exploration.”

– Former Client

“Dr. James gave me the freedom to explore my past trauma through her generous listening and helpful tools. With her support, I developed new healthy communication skills including assertiveness and confidence. Her unique approach with equine therapy assisted me with the moments where I froze and was unable to make decisions; moments where I was afraid and couldn’t stand in my own power; moments where I felt overwhelmed and alone and was debilitated to exhaustion. After working with Dr. James, I am stronger, more confident and stay true to myself. Yes, the trauma and wounds are still within me, but I am able to live with them instead of fight against them. I am thankful to Dr. James for making me feel safe, comforted and challenged. She is truly a talented individual and I am grateful to her therapeutic style and work in my life.”
